Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner gets tired of ongoing criticism – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing team principal, Christian Horner has said that he is getting tired of the ongoing criticism on his team regarding the legality of their car’s engine.
The Milton Keynes based team has been facing immense criticism over the issue of the engine mapping. Moreover, it will be important to mention that they were called to give the necessary clarification after the German GP about the RB8’s engine map which
according to the FIA was not in agreement with the technical regulations.
However, after the Hungarian GP, Horner expressed that they have never broken any rule and he doesn’t understand that why they are targeted every time.
“The bottom line is the results sheet comes out at the end of qualifying or the end of the race and the car complies with the regulations,” Horner said. “All the rest is all b******t, at the end of the day it's all down to the FIA and the stewards to decide
whether the car's legal or not. Every single time our car has been questioned by other teams it has always been compliant with the rules.”
Furthermore, he said that the competition is very tough in the current season and all the contenders have interpreted the regulations very well. Additionally, he said that they don’t deserve to be criticised over their creativity.
“Part of our strength is our ingenuity and I don't think we should be criticised for being creative,” he added.
The defending champions completely dominated during the last season and presently they are leading the constructors’ championship with 246 points. Besides, Horner said that they are very much pleased with their current position in the championship fight
and are focussing to make the considerable developments during the summer break so as to defend their title.
Meanwhile, their drivers, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel are standing at second and third positions in the drivers’ standings behind the Spaniard, Fernando Alonso of Ferrari who is the current leader with 164 points.
Over and above, it will be very thrilling to witness how all the teams come up after the summer smash.
