Okayso i'm doing a report/speech on red bull. I know taurien is one of the ingrediants and i've done some research and i know it is an amino acid. But i dont know what an amino acid is. So throughout my report instead of being repetitive and say this amino acid over and over can i say this chemical or this substance or anything like that? I wanna be using correct termanology. Also a web site i found says one of the red bull ingredients is glucuronolactone and that this is a precursor to taurine. What does that mean? Is it a seperate ingredient? And what would i call it?

  1. Taurine is actually an organic acid. It is often mistaken for an amino acid. It actually is the building blocks for all amino acids though.

Glucuronolactone is prodced by motabolising glocose in the liver. There does not seem to be any relation. Unless it is meant that it was used before Taurine. But then it is still used so, I don't know.
