In the last few days I've had a growing addiction to Red Bull. It says on the can "vitalizes body and mind," but while I may feel awakened and back to normal once I've drunk it, I'm sure its having after-effects on me. Do they really have "after effects", or is it just me?

  1. im not shore but i think so but when i tried it for the first time...... it was really gross.....atlist i didnt like it but alota people like it too.....and your one of them .....and aboute your Question i think it duase what they say after all its not like water and its not that healthy any way ... when coke is bad red bull must be worse so you should stop drinking..... try pepsi for a change or Dr. Peper(i love it)

  2. It has the same effect as taking a few caffeine tablets with sugar but at 10 times the cost

  3. Personally, I've had Red Bull and really don't think it does anything at all. But maybe that's just me.

  4. no way but it does give u wiings (according to an advertisement)

  5. honestly i think it does but it will deffenetly not anything unrelistic like make you fly or something like that...

  6. Red bull and most other so called 'energy drinks' are simply caffeine, taurine and sugar; three chemicals which perk you up temporarily. For a quick boost it's fine but prolonged or increased use can lead to side effects such as irritability, heart problems and tinnitus. Some may experience no beneficial effects either but this is no doubt due to a high tolerance to the active ingredients, I find that no caffeine supplements do much for me at all, nothing a cool shower couldn't do for a fraction of the cost.

  7. Red bull is like caffeinated p**s in a can. The advertisements are just advertisements. Red bull is like other energy drinks, it gives you a boost of energy and makes you feel crappy later. I'd get off it and try something healthier. Green tea perhaps?

  8. Red Bull as with all caffeine drinks,is a stimulus. Its will temporarily postpone tiredness and give a sugar rush.

If you do drink a lot of caffeine in a short period of time, you will become agitated and irritable..

Conclusion, just drink it when you need it.

Tip,dont pay Red Bull prices when there are identical alternatives for 25p.

  9. the after-effects you may experience are dehydration, headaches, stomach pains, reflux etc. the thing is with all caffeinated products, they temporarily give you energy, but you are working through underlying tiredness, so afterwards you may feel exhausted. caffeine is also a diuretic, so makes the body lose water, so you get headaches, irritability etc. caffeine irritates the stomach, and can cause ulcers or reflux. best thing to do is get a good night's sleep, and eat and drink healthily, otherwise you will become reliant on such things to keep you awake. products such as cola, dr.pepper, pepsi etc are the same, but they have more sugar, so the same will happen but your teeth rot too as an added bonus!

  10. course it'll wake you up...it's full of sugar and caffeine and really not that good for you in large amounts! I have a friend who had it for breakfast every day at school until a teacher took it off him and poured it down the sink...

Caffeine is also addictive, so yeah there will be after effects, such as shaking headaches tiredness.
