Red Bull driver Mark Webber satisfied with qualifying results of German Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Red Bull Racing driver Mark Webber has said that it was a good qualifying round for him in the 2011 Formula 1 season so far at the German Grand Prix on Saturday, July 23, 2011 in Nürburgring.
Webber added that he put his maximum efforts during the flying lap of the qualifying round 3 at the German racetrack.
The team driver had a great time during the Qualifiers of the Nürburgring race weekend, where he secured a pole place for Sunday’s race. The Australian looked unbeatable during the Q3. He beat McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton by 0.055 seconds.
Talking to the media, Webber said, “There have been some late nights in the build-up to this weekend, so we have recovered well and we got it all figured out at the end there. I was thinking on the in-lap if someone gets me they deserve it because I couldn't
have got much more out of it.”
He added, “Yesterday worked out okay for us. We always know that Sunday night gives you a better indication, we saw with McLaren they can be a bit up and down. Let's see who has the smoothest race tomorrow and a few decisions to make from the cockpit if
the mountains are a bit wet.”
The 34-year-old driver seemed to be struggling for his race victory since the start of the ongoing season. He has not yet won a race in the season, but now he is hoping to achieve his goal in the German Grand Prix following a very strong qualifying round
in Nürburgring.
His teammate Sebastian Vettel was unable to win a pole place in Nürburgring. He finished his qualifying run in the third spot ahead of Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, who came at the fourth position.
After a strong qualifying round in Germany, Webber is looking forward to a race victory on Sunday at the Nürburgring race circuit. Let’s see how he performs over there.
