Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel launches his own version of Infiniti at Frankfurt Motor Show
Sebastian Vettel, the German driver of Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing, launched his version of the Infiniti car this Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
It is a car that the German driver himself has been waiting to see, as this is the first time that he has contributed to the design of any car and hence is very excited about its launch.
The Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, which is popularly referred to as the Frankfurt Motor Show or Frankfurt Auto Show, is by far one of the biggest crowd pulling events of the world.
This new car has been designed and built in just six months following Vettel’s specifications. The car has been named after the German driver who will also be its global brand ambassador. The car has been built to cater the high-speed demands of any Formula
1 driver, and is a perfect blend of speed, accuracy and beauty.
The car can achieve a speed of 100 mph from a zero in a mere 6.5 seconds.
Many changes have been incorporated into this new car that include, an increased power system, revised aerodynamics, a top speed of 300 kph and increased downward force levels.
The car’s interior is much more chic than the previous model. It has a real carbon not an Appliqué on the inside, and Alcantara on the steering wheel and paddles. The seats are covered with black suede and there is a plate on the centre console with Vettel’s
signature that marks it as a Vettel Special Edition.
Vettel said, “I have been driving an FX all this year and it is a car I love. It fits my lifestyle perfectly and is great fun to drive. But of course, it could go a little faster. I drive a lot in Germany on motorways that have no speed limits and have enjoyed
my FX around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Driving at high speed where safe and legal is part of my life. This is the first road car I have helped develop.”
This new model will be showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show that is scheduled to take place from September 15-25, 2011 in Frankfurt, Germany.
