Red Bull performed strongly during qualifying this season
They were fast, determined and resolute right from the start of the 2010 season. They knew what they wanted and how to get it.
And now as they see their goal so close to them they have turned aggressive and fierce and are ready to backlash anybody that comes in their way to triumph. They are the Red Bulls!
The team had been in dominating form from the beginning of the season. As the races kept unfolding one after the other they kept demonstrating great pace on the track proving that they possess the fastest car and strong-minded drivers this season.
After another brilliant performance, Vettel had been able to secure pole position at the Korean Grand Prix. The country’s recently held its inaugural Formula One race on its newly built Korean International Circuit, which was completed a few weeks ago.
Now the Formula One caravan gets ready to hold the seventeenth round, a very exciting and crucial one which could prove to be the decisive one for the championship.
At the qualifying session the Austrian team, as seen many times earlier this season was faster than all their competitors. Vettel marked the fastest lap of the session securing pole position for the ninth time this year. His last three victories this season
have been bagged when he started race from pole, once at the Japanese Grand Prix and earlier at the European Grand Prix.
As the qualifying ended, all the drivers talked to the media in the post-qualifying press conference. The jubilant German driver was happy to say:
“It’s a special feeling to be on pole - it was very close. The track is good here - in the first sector there’s not so much you can do, just hit your braking points at the right time, but the second and third sectors are quite entertaining with nice flowing
corners, but it’s easy to make a mistake. It was a small margin for pole, but it was enough and it was a good result as yesterday we didn’t have smooth running”.
The driver further said that due to the puncture during the practice session he was not able to do many laps on the new track. He said that he had a brilliant time in Japan earlier this month and now he wishes to repeat the same result once again.
On the other hand, Mark Webber, who stood second in the qualifying said:
“I wasn’t that happy on my first timed laps to be honest, so it was more comfortable for me to do two timed laps for my last run. It worked out okay, but obviously it was very close with Seb and I got second on the grid. It’s not a bad position to start
the race, but it would have been nice to get pole, still -we can get a good result from there”.
However, one thing that Webber was concerned about was that he would be starting at the dirty side of the grid while Vettel and Fernando of Ferrari would be on the smoother one. Still, Webber says that he is positive and ready to race as if this was the
last and final round of the season aiming to finish at the top of the podium.
