Red Bull secures the constructors’ title at the Brazilian Grand Prix

Team Red Bull finally secured the constructors’ title after a 1-2 finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix at the legendary circuit Interlagos. Red Bull was clearly the fastest team throughout the weekend and as compared to their two rivals McLaren and Ferrari,
they were ahead by a mile and it seemed that no one could beat the two Red Bulls in any way until or unless they faced any sort of mechanical or technical problem.
Sebastian Vettel won the race after qualifying in second place behind Nico Hulkenberg surprisingly as he took his first pole position of his career. Since team Williams and Force India are fighting it out for the 6th place in the constructors’
standings, it seems that Nico pushed a bit too hard to give his team an advantage as he just could not hold the Red Bulls, Ferraris or McLarens behind him for long.
Mark Webber qualified in 3rd place and maintained his performance throughout the race and as expected, finished the race safely behind his teammate to gain more points than the championship leader Fernando Alonso as Fernando finished in 3rd
place. Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button finished in 4th and 5th places respectively and it seems that they gave up on the constructors’ title right after the two Red Bulls gained a comfortable lead ahead of the pack.
Sebastian Vettel is now in 3rd place in the drivers’ standings and is 15 points behind the championship leader Fernando Alonso while his teammate Mark Webber is just 8 points adrift of the Spaniard’s lead. Lewis Hamilton on the other hand has
the least chance of winning the title but you never know what Formula 1 has in store for you. Lewis is currently 24 points behind the championship leader and it seems that the race for the drivers’ title is still on.
However, in the constructors’ table, Red Bull is leading the pack by 469 points followed by McLaren with 421 points.
With just one race remaining, Red Bull will push as hard as they did at Brazil, as they would fight it out against Fernando and Lewis for the drivers’ title at Abu Dhabi. However, after winning the constructors’ title, its one down, one to go for Red Bull.
