The Australian top Formula 1 racer Mark Webber is of the view that his racing team Red Bull favours his team-mate German driver Sebastian Vettel more than him.
Currently the controversy about the favouritism within the team Red Bull team is surrounding the Formula 1 world.
The 34-year-old responded to the questions and allegations pretty positively and has said that it is right that the Red Bull racing team favours his team-mate 23-year-old Sebastian Vettel a bit more than him.
Webber has been very consistent with his remarkable performance throughout the season and has led the champion’s standings table from the front pretty superbly. In a very recent press conference the Aussie veteran expressed his thoughts pretty bluntly.
The current position of Webber in the points table is better than Sebastian Vettel but when Red Bull were asked if Vettel will help Webber in his struggle for the world championship, the team refused.
Currently Mark Webber is on the second spot in the points table and eleven points adrift of the current leader Spaniard Fernando Alonso. British top driver Lewis Hamilton is third and Red Bull German ace racer Sebastian Vettel is in the fourth place. With
only two races to go in the season, the championship is up for grabs.
Webber said he is much focused towards his driving now and not thinking about the other issues at the moment. The Australian ace said that so far everything has been perfect for him and he is very happy to race for team Red Bull.
When Webber was asked about the fact that his racing team is not emotionally behind him the Australian said that Vettel is young and dynamic and that is why the team is favouring him a bit more.
Mark Webber has done a staggering job for his team this season as he leaded the championship table for a long time and just lost his lead from the Spanish superstar racer Fernando Alonso in the recently held Korean Grand Prix race at the Yeongam racing circuit.
In an interview the manager of the Red Bull racing team Christian Horner expressed his views about Webber and said that Webber has raced tremendously well during the season. He refused the fact of favouritism in the team and said that the team has been supporting
the Australian to the fullest and there is no issue of favouritism in the Red Bull team.
