Red Bull’s Mark Webber claims rest of 2011 Formula 1 season will not be dominated by just one driver
Red Bull Racing team’s Mark Webber has recently stated that the rest of the 2011 Formula 1 season is not going to be dominated by just one driver as all of the top running teams are strong.
He said since there are 5 drivers competing for the title, the upcoming races are going to be tough and competitive.
“As long as Seb doesn't finish two races. I wouldn't just rely on someone not dominating. There are eight races to go and, yes, Seb's in a great position - no question about it - but he's not completely comfortable yet,” Webber responded when asked about
his championship chances.
One has to admit though that if one of the championship competitors is able to dominate the remaining 8 races of the season which is less likely to happen, only then can that driver win the title this year.
Otherwise, he would have to rely on his luck and hope that Vettel does not finish at least two of the remaining races in the 2011 Formula 1 season which is not going to happen that easily as Red Bull Racing are the most reliable team of the season as they
have not faced a single retirement yet.
However, Webber claims that the upcoming 2011 Belgian Grand Prix is going to be very tough for the top-running teams of the sport and it is going to be a very entertaining weekend.
“I see the weekend being tight to be honest. Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull - there will be no clear advantage I don't think. It's going to be as tight as we have seen at the last three or four grands prix - nip and tuck around the pit stops,” he said.
Nevertheless, RBR have not been able to dominate like they used to as a result of which McLaren and Ferrari have been scoring much better results and they have proved that they are much better in terms of pace at a circuit like Spa which is quick and requires
sheer speed.
