Red Cadeaux to notch victory in the Sportingbet Yorkshire Cup on 18th
May, 2012
Looks like Red Cadeaux is the best contender for the Group 2 Sportingbet Yorkshire Cup (British Champions Series), which is hosted at York on 18th May, 2012.
The six-year-old gelding is in extremely good form and has a good chance of winning, despite the fact that he will run against some tough competitors, he is expected to deliver a terrific race.
Reflecting on his previous performances, trainer Ed Dunlop said:

"Everything's gone well since the Sagaro and he seems in good form. As expected, it's a competitive race and we hope for the best. This race fits in well with his programme. The ground might dry out a bit but it will still be decent good ground so
we won't worry about that unless the jockeys say anything differently.”
The son of Cadeaux Genereux, out of mare, Artisia, has an incredible record, and he is determined to make it more impressive.

He demonstrated his exquisite skill in the Group 3 Blue Square Levy Board Sagaro Stakes at Kempton on 2nd May, 2012, where he was mounted by rider, Ryan Moore.
Moore and the chestnut gelding set a pace for themselves in the race, and took great advantage of the standard track.

Despite all his hard work, Red Cadeaux finished as a runner-up, 1 ½ lengths behind the Godolphin owned, Colour Vision.
Times Up, the trainee of John Dunlop, will also compete in this race, with the hope that his latent potential surfaces.
The son of Olden Times, out of mare Princess Genista, will be making his seasonal debut since his last race was in October, 2011.

He bagged a victory at Newmarket in September, 2011, on a good to firm surface, which suits him well.
The six-year-old gelding seems to be in good shape and working hard as the trainer’s secretary, Marcus Osgood stated that:

"Times Up has done plenty of work and has pleased the trainer. Any significant rain would not be welcome."
Ed Dunlop is indecisive about the fact if, Red Cadeaux, will compete at Royal Ascot but he assured the press that he might take the runner to Australia for the Melbourne Cup after a lay-off.
