Red Devils Five Biggest Wins Over The Reds in The English Premier League - Part 1
There are almost no rivalries out there that match the passion and intensity of the competitiveness between Liverpool and Manchester United.
Other sports and leagues do have rivalries but there are only a few fields out there that shows case such a harsh rivalry between two clubs that are not even from the common area.
Sir Alex Ferguson recently claimed that there are no games in the Premier League like the games played between Liverpool and Manchester United.
There is always a win from at least one of these teams at the start of the season and this adds to the drama and the tensions in such a volatile and dramatic match.
Premier League Season 2004-2005: Liverpool 0-1 Manchester United 
This match had little to do with the league but it did stand out to leave its eminent damage caused between the two clubs and was a crucial part of creating this bitter rivalry between these two mavericks.
It was the first time that ‘The Reds’ were going against the ‘Red Devils’ under the supremacy of Rafa Benitez. This also turned out to be the first time in history that Manchester United won three matches in a row against Liverpool.
The game resulted in a loss for ‘The Reds’ even though Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of the match and even after Wes Brown was thrown off the field after receiving a red card from the referee.
Liverpool did not manage to score even though the ‘Red Devils’ were a man short. The ten man squad held their ground well and this resulted with yet another humiliating defeat for Liverpool
The match resulted in the spark that was an ignition to a forest fire of the intensity that the Premier League was yet to see. This was also the third consecutive loss at Liverpool’s home ground that made the loss very apparent and embarrassing.
This game also became the reason why Liverpool could not finish in the top four positions in the Premier League that season and ultimately was denied its place in the Champions League.
Premier League Season 1992-1993: Liverpool 1-2 Manchester United 
This was the first match between the two giants in English football and Manchester United came out shinning in this Endeavour.
Before the coming of the Premier League Liverpool had always been one of the reigning kings of English football and only a few could have thought possible Manchester United’s future coming.
This match is viewed by most football historians as the ‘passing of the sword’ between the two clubs. Liverpool lost to Manchester United at an away ground and some believe this to be the day when the leash of the Premier League was taken forcefully by the ‘Red Devils.’
Even though Liverpool’s legendary Welsh player scored a goal in that match, the ‘Red Devils’ managed to take up three points against Liverpool and this granted them the very first Premier League title and this was only the first of eleven titles.
This is also a title that to this day ‘The Reds’ strive to get but still never manage to wrap their hands around.
Premier League Season 1999-2000: Liverpool 2-3 Manchester United 
Liverpool had to endure yet another humiliating defeat against the ‘Red Devils’ and was losing to Manchester United at their own home ground of Anfield and if this was not bad enough, they had to see their opponents make their way through the league to have one of the most successful years in English football history.
Manchester United pulled off winning the glorified treble conceding two goals from Sami Hyypia and Patrick Berger, where as Liverpool had to see one of their Legends go through the worst season of his gleaming career.
This is the season when Jamie Carragher actually scored two own goals for Liverpool and Andy Cole managed to score a deafening own goal as well.
Manchester United went on to win another Premier League title where as Liverpool was sidelined again. The match against the ’Red Devils’ saw ‘The Reds’ lose their spot in the Champions league to Leeds United just by two points.
