Red Devils’ boss Sir Alex Ferguson wants Paul Scholes to play another season for Manchester United
Manchester United’s manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, is hoping to convince Paul Scholes to play for another season at Old Trafford and believes that this weekend’s game against Blackpool will not be Scholes’ last match of his illustrious career.
Paul Scholes, who is considered as one of the most decorated players in the Barclays Premier League history, was part of Manchester United’s famous class of 92 and all his fellows players have hung up their boots except Ryan Giggs.

Paul Scholes, who was persuaded by Sir Alex Ferguson to sign a one year extension, was offered a one-year contract in January and the United midfielder has yet to decide his future.
Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that Paul Scholes will start against Blackpool in the final game of the season and the Red Devils’ manager feels that it will not be the last match of Scholes’ career.
Ferguson told the reporters, “I don't think it will be his last game. We have discussed it and I have encouraged him to stay on another year. We will talk again at the end of the season”.
Scholes, who has won 9 Barclays Premier League title with Manchester United, has been a crucial member of the current United squad which secured the record 19th Premier League title.
