Red Eye showing up in your photos

Whats causes a camera to make peoples eyes red ? And if you were dead would red eyes be possible ?

red eye is caused by the flash reflecting off the inside of the eye when the pupil is open wide. if your camera has a red eye setting turn it on. it will flash twice. once before the pic causing the pupil to contract then again when the pic is taken.

ask the people your taking a picture of to not look directly at the camera but rather slightly up, down, to the right or to the left, that sometimes helps to prevent red eye.
