Red Melon Type Tropical Fruit??? Can you identify it?

Question

Someone brought a tropical fruit platter to my house and on it was the most delicious fruit i've ever had. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS..the ingredients on the platter said: tropical fruit assortment (gee thanks) it was a deep red color similar to watermelon however the texture was like that of very ripe honeydew. HELP!!!!

Its got a sort of melon texture and taste and can be light pink to dark red.
