how much chili powder do I need to substitute for 10 dried red New Mexcian chilis?

  1. I grind my own chili powder using NM chilies, id say each one is around 1tbl spoon


  2. I would say like a 1//2 cup or 3/4 of a cup. Those chilis are kinda big  and they really don't taste like chili powder. Are you sure you should use that as a substitute and notsome other dred chilis?
