Manny was definitely a player who will never be forgotten. Him and Tek are kinda the last remaining links from the Nomar/Petey teams to the newer teams.

It's going to be very weird to watch him play out his career in another uniform. It's something you never want to see happen, but you know it's coming. I'm not soured by Manny's

recent actions. I'll never have anything bad to say about #24. Now that he's traded i'm bummed. Really am.

  1. Manny Ramierz got fuuckked by the boston red sox. I'm not a boston fan i'm a yankee fan and i even have more respect for manny. Without Manny Ramirez the red sox would have went 87 years without a championship because 2004 would have never been. He was the best player ont he team and yet they treated him like a rookie. "Well we wont gurantee you a contract we have to over view your porgrees over the 2008 season and based on that wee will consider picking up your option. What? thats bull you dont see derek jeter dealing with that Jeter gets what he wants because hes a franchise player and he has already proven himself., Manny has done more than proven himself its not everyday that a player hits 500 homeruns over a career. He was right. Boston did not deserve him. Ok his attiude was shaky but he produced. When you needed a big hit he was the one to produce. They treat Youkilis with more respect than Manny. I hate the way the boston magament can be to petty to their players. He wanted a gurante they shouydl have gave it to him. Thats why i'm happy hes traded Jason Bay cant even touch Manny Ramirez. They lost a key player for nothing. nothing and thats why there not going to win. Beckett is having a har time , Schilling is down, Papi has been hurt and i think he will still need a little more time to get it together. There in trouble

  2. i agree completely with you, but even worse , now he has to play with Joe Torre

  3. I agree Manny will always be a Red Sox to me! He was an integral part of our winning two World Series. It will be weird seeing him play for Joe Torre as well but he needed to go and see what else is out there for him.  Good luck Manny

  4. I know realize just how overrated Manny is. I just don't understand anyone's reason for ripping the trade.

MANNY RAMIREZ IS NOT A BETTER HITTER THAN JASON BAY. People are still believing he is a .315 45 homer bat. He isn't. Bay is just as potent a hitter but he doesn't hold that household name. Have you seen their stats in the last 3 years combined? They're almost indentical. Plus you don't run the risk of Manny having a "injury" and just don't play the last 40 games.

I respect his career but I think he is overrated now after seeing the post trade responses.

  5. Hes a good player, good players often get traded.

  6. Well I for one appreciate what he has done for our team and I am very sad to seem him go.

  7. i don't think he should get traded!!! ever!!!

  8. Manny deserved and frankly got what he wanted.  Boston however is going to suffer and probably struggle to make the playoffs without him.  Jason Bay is just not the same kind of player that produces the way Manny did.  It was right to get rid of him short term come October Theo might get ripped a little...although he has to still be the MAN in Boston

  9. I'm going to hate seeing Manny play in another uniform. He played such an important role in the 2 world series wins. He just took it a little too far this year and I really can't blame management. Now hopefully Bay can come in and start racking up RBIs. lol We'll have to see how he does playing in a city such as Boston. I'm dissapointed that the Red Sox didn't get another arm for the bullpen either.

  10. Yes it is a shame to see him play for la but he was a big distraction to the red sox team he was a great hitter though we will miss him in our line up
