  1. I know you asked for RedSox fans-YANKEE here...Only seen the games Jacoby's been in against the yanks and I'd say for a guy who's been playing what 2 seasons? Not full seasons I'd pick him. I've seen him catch some good ones and on ESPN catch of the day highlights.

Do you guys still even like Coco? Thought he'd be long gone by now.

  2. I'd probably take Jacoby Ellsbury.

Both players are just about equal right now fieldingwise.

Jacoby's fast and he can make the ESPN Highlight Reel catches (and so can Crisp actually). It's just that he's also a couple years away from entering his prime, and when that period comes I'm sure his fielding will exceed that of Crisp's.

    Wait till Jacoby completely matures.

  3. 1. Coco has better diving ability,

    2. neither have a good arm

    3. Ellsbury has the better glove

    4. accuracy goes to Crisp

    5. Either one could win range.

***I'd say Ellsbury because he is young and can get better...

  4. It's a toss up, they both are great defenders when the ball is in the air and they both have very weak arms, so it doesn't make a difference. I'm not Red Sox fan though, I'm a Rays fan. 1st place!!!!!!!!!! GO RAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. They are both fantastic in the outfield. Coco Crisp had a gold glove caliber year out in center field last year. It's hard to judge since Coco Crisp & Jacoby Ellsbury split the time in center field, while Ellsbury also plays right and left field frequently.

Jacoby has definitely proven himself to be a great, great outfielder. This year, we've seen more amazing plays from Ellsbury since he plays more often than Crisp, but they both attempt to make great catches that many other outfielders would just fall as a hit and usually, end up making the play.

It's pretty much win win out there. Crisp has more experience in center, but Ellsbury will be just as great, if not better.

  6. Ellsbury. He has shown his defensive skills. but for now, this critical games, let's say have them share tha playing time because Jacoby haven't proven his hitting yet. He's still a rookie though.

  7. Talk about your "win-win".  Either one is great!

  8. Coco

  9. they have roughly the same attributes. either or.

  10. Yankees fan here. From my POV, give it to Crisp. Dude gets to the ball quickly out there.

  11. hard to say probably Jacoby but both are amazing fielders

  12. im a yankee fan and i have to say

    ellsberry

he is always taking our hits

like just during this last series he robbed like 3 hits from jeter

  13. Jacoby. Coco's a great fielder, but Ellsbury can make great diving plays.
