Red Sox fans - has Manny now thrown the team 'under the bus'?

I am a huge Sox fan - BUT his recent comments of today being: "I love the fans, but the Red Sox don't deserve me" and "I've seen what they (the management) have done to other great players" is he FORCING the Red Sox to pull the trigger and ruin our WS chances???'

I dont see him throwing anyone under the bus. he acting like nothing should happen to him.

Beaucse of his big name. After hearing those comments i hope red sox do get him traded.

I have been totally disgusted with Manny since '03.  He is a spoiled brat who has NO Idea of how lucky and blessed he is to have played for two World Champion Teams (he didn't do it himself, in spite of his opinion). He has been payed more in one year than real humans will make in a lifetime, he doesn't put himself out,does NOT work hard and does not appreciate all that he has been given.

I have been praying hard for the Sox to dump this big, overpaid, underworked, whining, spoiled jerk for the past three years. Let him go! Let him bring his BS to someone else. We have the likes of Lowell, Varitek, Ortiz and Ellsbury, all of whom understand the idea of  a real work ethic.

Manny: G'bye!!! Good riddance!!  If you think the Red Sox can't succeed without you, go call Nomar.

I like Sean's answer a lot. Because he's just so sure both of those teams will be in the playoffs. Wake up call is coming in September.

As a Yankee fan, I hope he does stay in Boston, this way when we BEAT them in the ALCS, we can say we did it with Manny in there, and Sox fans don't have that "If we had Manny..." excuse. He really is asking for a trade with those remarks, though.
