Red Spot On My Eye??

Question

For years now (I'm 18) I have had this red place on my left eye. I'm guessing it might be a busted vessel? Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew how for me to fix it. A doctor told me that I should go to an opthamologist and they could possibly burn a spot under my eye to close off the vessel. Is this a good idea or is there a way I can get rid of it myself?

1st. you could have a coloration of your iris,! 2nd, question: has your eyesight changed/ you said you had it for years!!?? 3rd. if no!! you should STILL see your opthalmist to remove ANY doubt. reason!!! my brother-in law had. the same thing, except his was the REAL bad thing needed " lasersurgery" more or less same day, had busted bloodvessels in BOTH eyes.  but don't be scared, for your own sake and peace of mind do it now!!!!

If the doctor told you that, then it's probably the most knowledgeable answer you're likely to get. The best thing for you to do is to go and see the opthamologist and ask him/her what they think should be done... being a specialist and all, they should know.

Opthamologists know what they're doing. My Dad got his eyes laserd  so now he doesn't wear glasses. Although sometimes they can be quite pricey. IMO go to the opthamologist but really its your decision
