Do you see these two teams becoming rivals in the future? If so, should I stop favoring them both equally and pick a side when the rivalry starts?

  1. You should drop the Redwings and just be a hardcore Blue Jackets fan. Personally I like Rick Nash and Freddy Modin a h**l of a lot better than Zetterberg and Dasyuk.

  2. Well, who do you root for when they play eachother in the regular season?  If you say Detroit 4 times, and Columbus 4 times, than I'd go with who you like more:  U of M, or Ohio State.  There will be your answer if they become a rivalry.

  3. Honestly ditch both teams and come to the Penguins side. lmao

I cannot see them having a rivalry but, you should become a Blue Jackets fan their team need you, if I was in your position I would go with the Red Wings for many reasons.

  4. Well, let me put it this way. When I finally switched from the Pens to the Stars the two teams happened to play each other that year. It was a hard game to watch, but much to my happiness the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Ah, the good ol' days when teams constantly tied because everyone was afraid to lose that point in overtime.

For now I think you’re safe keeping them both.

  5. I think u should be solely a Blue Jackets fan this coming from someone whose brother was a fu*king Nordiques fan !! (And you know how I bleed bleu-1, blanc-2 et rouge-3)

1 bleu is french for blue

2- blanc is french for white

3- rouge is french for red

(As you + other knowlegable fans know those are the colours of my beloved Canadiens)

  6. There already is a rivalry in the works. What hasn't helped, however, was the trade of Sergei. Wings fans used to give it to him more than any other player in the league. Personally, I liked Sergei, when he was here and wouldn't trash him ever. He did what he had to do after helping us to win a couple of cups. The fact that Foote is no longer there hurts as well. I could see him helping that team with is talent, size, and experience, especially in the playoffs. Sad to see the Organization trade those guys. They had a decent shot at the playoffs but need more time. Definitely up and coming and future rivalry material for Detroit. Never will it be a huge  rivalry.

With the existing talent, the future talent, and Hitchcock, they are on the ups.

    You dumped Gallant too!

Exactly why there is that rivalry "building", mentioned Foote because of the past battles w/Wings.  There a good club, Nash is still getting better, Talk about a fair and honest NHL Posterboy!!

  7. Well, it depends on the Blue Jackets becoming a playoff contender and at least being competitive agains the Wings.

Also, some blood can help. It did with Avs and Wings :)

Finally, you should pick a side. It's like asking someone to be a fan of either the Rangers or the Isles. It's not gonna happen.

  8. Soviet.....your in luck because I rarley think they will become rivals.

If so then you wouldn't be the same anymore. We would never see your "Red Wings and Blue Jackets fan" thing anymore.I would have to take it from you.

  9. Just so you know... Cleveland is pretty close to pittsburgh and buffalo, also. :)
