Red Wings -- stop whining?

I cannot believe the amount of posts that i have seen by the Detroit fans and also by Flyers fans whining about the calls of the referees made last night and how the announcers were horrible at calling the game...blah blah blah...grow up please! This is a game of sport, one call goes your way and the other doesn't. Flyer fans, please stop bashing the Penguins...we all from the same state, you all should support the Pens. And please be realistic and get this to your head that there will NEVER be a championship team will ever, in any sport, come out of Philly...get use to Pittsburgh sports teams raising the cup! Anybody disagree?

Disagreement.

The refs made bad non-calls that did effect the game.  Frankly, there are better announcers for both channels (I prefer Jim Hughson over Bob Cole on CBC).  And if I were a Philly fan from Pennsylvania, I wouldn't be cheering for Pittsburgh.

Flyers fans are only ticked off that yet again they are going golfing and watching two other teams fight for the Stanley Cup.

I'm especially ticked off at Wings fans. Who whine the hardest when they are losing.. Especially after the Predators won a couple of games against them and tarnished their perfect playoffs. GROW THE HECK UP!

When the Devils beat the crud out of the Wings you guys whined worse than a bunch of hairdressers. NOW that you are in a position to win the cup..  you'd think they'd be happy.. BUT NO!

The Penguins are mean, they are cheating.. oh woah is us.

I agree. After the 3rd period they let a lot go. They made a couple calls that were basically neccessary to call. Calls weren't being called both ways. Fleury had an AMAZING game last night.

Whoa....

1) you should never tell a person who to cheer for just because they are from the same state.  So just because I'm from Georgia I now have to drop a life long devotion to the Red Wings and cheer for the Thrashers?  Philosophy doesn't work kid.  And you just made me about throw up in my mouth.

2) if you read these posts you will see that the Wings fans and Pens fans are equally "whining" about the refs and announcers.  Equally.  Your fans are doing it.  My fans are doing it.  It is all a part of being a team's fan.  Take the bad with the good.  Cheering for a team that is in the finals isn't all smooth ice and pucks that bounce your way my friend.

3)  do your research before you make championship claims.  Just please, make sure that your facts are straight before doing that.  You don't want to look like a bigger idiot then you really are, now don't you?

4)  and about the whole grow up thing...take your own advice before you dish it out.  This type of ranting and raving is something I would expect from a hormonal teenager who just had their curfew cut short.

Geez I'm still in college and I act more "grown up" than you.  Keg party when the Wings win the Cup anyone?

Oh and uh 13 days till your 16...if you're going to call me out on here at least spell my name right so I can know you're talking to me.  Oh and I'm not taking anything out on anyone.  I'm just taking out my frustration at your kind of Pens fans...and yes I put you in that category.  Bad calls for both sides.  Good games for both sides.  LOSSES for both sides.  I know that, I recognize that, and I admit that yes the Pens played well last night.  Fleury was unbelievable.  Go read some of my other posts.  You'll see.

Oh and I hope the Wings winning the Cup doesn't spoil your 16th birthday.  I know that would suck.

I wouldn't say people are whining.  The fans, players and even the commentators were annoyed at the bad calls last night.  This is a very physical sport, not just for the players, but for the fans that truly love it and get so wrapped up in the games (and not just the playoffs).  So, it's frustrating when these guys are playing their heart out and getting bad calls by the officials.  The players are doing their job, the officials should do theirs as well.  I'm a Wings fan, so of course I want them to win, but I want them to win by their efforts, not by bad officiating on either side.

Absolutely correct. The bandwagoners are rediculous and you know they are bandwagoners because any normal fan would be able to realize it shouldn't have been called (or in some cases should have.) All I hear is the refs make bad calls and Therrien needs to stop whining. Get over it, bandwagoners. If your "team" losers (not that you really support them in the 1st place) it's no one's fault but that team's.

Brena - just because your team lost doesn't mean you can take it out on us. It's not our fault your team played badly.

Bad calls affect every team......non calls affect the same way as bad calls. I do not consider it whining when you are objective and call it what it is...a bad call no matter which team gets called

Wow - way to bash not only 1 team's fans, but 2 at the same time.  Detroit fan's whining?  Both Wings AND Pens fans have done their fair share of whining this series, so you can not just call out the Red Wings fans.

YUP!!!Disagree.You have ONE good season where Mellon Arena is sold out for the FIRST TIME EVER now you have the greatest teams and fans in all of sports?I mentioned it before and I'll say it again.Steelers first team EVER to not make the playoffs after winning a SB and guaranteed Ben will miss most of the season and gain 300 lbs.
