Red areas in Pokemon Pearl?

Question

I'm trying to find certain pokemon in pearl but when i go to area on the pokedex it blinks with a red glow instead with a blue glow

whats the difference?

i don't think there is a difference. unless the red glow means for pearl and the blue glow is for diamond. just guesing. but you should check gamefaqs.com or serebii.net
