theres this red berry plant at stop and shop i used for genetics and im wondering what its common name is or what type of flower it is.

type of flower, color, how many petals, are petals notched any noticable/interesting characteristics.

type of leaves, holly like, oak like, lance like

is it a shrub/ bush, or is it more herbacious?

What are the berries like?   Has this plant been planted there, or is it just growing there?
