Question:

Red cheeks on my baby?

My son is just over a year old and his cheeks always look red. They have a chapped look. What does this mean? I thought maybe his skin was dry so I've been putting baby lotion on his cheeks but it's not getting any better. They've been this way for a couple weeks. Thanks!

  1. It might be rosacea, in which case lotions and vaseline are not going to help much.  Talk to your doctor.

  2. use vaseline it works faster then any other moisturizer

  3. He may have a food allergy.  Red cheeks is sometimes a symptom. Other symptoms could be irritability, mucus in stool, dark circles under eyes.   Google for more info and ask your doctor if you are concerned.

  4. maybe he needs moisture try vaseline not baby lotion use that for a couple of days if that doesnt work go to a doctor your baby might have a temporary skin condition. where his skin on his checks are extremely dry. its probably really itchy and uncomfortable for him so do that asap! good luck with your little one!
