  1. Yes, a red eared slider needs a large tank when fully grown. a 75 gallon would be a good sized tank.


  2. Yeah, that looks like a 29 gallon, you will need to upgrade at least to a 55 when it's full grown. A better tank would be the 75, because it's wider.

  3. keep that bee-u-ti-ful tank and ask Santa for a 60 plus size tank for the slider's..they are socila. They need alot of room and eat fish..and leaft greens like in the wild. Males have long front claws. A GREAT filtration system is very important cause they are messy poopers and eaters.

    Sliders, Cooters , painted ,map and yellow bellied are require the same care and feeding..

    I have had them in a 150gal pond for about 6 yrs now..
