ok, I cleaned out the filter today and thier were small red worms inside. alive. my red ears appear fine. I cannot afford a vet until the first. can someone tell me what they are, what caused them, and how to fix the problem. i care about my reptiles health and if it is a sever health problem i will give them up for better care. im not cruel, just cant afford a vet today so i will give them up if it is deemed a health risk, to someone or a petstore that will get them the atention they could need.

  1. im sure he'll be ok just keep an eye on it dont give him to a pet store u know thoes place treat there animals like c**p and most die bc they get sick from there so just wait and watch him and at the first take him to the vet if theres still worms

  2. Those are either sewage worms or midge larvae. Neither is parasitic and they both make good fish food. Put some feeder fish in the tank and throw the "worms" in to feed them (along with regular fish food).
