Red eyes after contacts?

I started wearing contacts a few months ago. They were fine in the beginning until they expired (I had disposables), So, the last time i wore them they got my eyes all red. About a month ago i got more disposables. I wore them basically for about 4-7 hours a day. Then after when i took them out, they would turn red in a few minutes. I stopped wearing them for a few weeks, until yesterday. I wore them for a bit above 8 hours. Then when i took them out, they weren't so red, just getting there, and there was a discharge. I woke up this morning and my eye were completely red. And now every couple of minutes they start to really burn and tear up.

My mom says that the eye clinic says i'm just not cleaning them properly, but could there be another reason?

  1. You probably have pink eye or another sort of infection. They same happened to me; I was cleaning them properly and everything was going fine until the beginning of July. I had pink eye coming back for about a month and now I have an inflammatory eye or something like that. So go to either the regular doctors or eye doctors and they can give you some eye drops. Don't wear your contacts until you go see the doctor and they tell you how long you have to wait.
