  1. Well i'm 13 and i'm still in school if boys with red hair and that are smart get teased more girls with red hair and that are smart don't really get teased.Girls don't really get teased more in school anyway its mostly the boys.

  2. theyre jealous - thats why they tease

i get teased more then redheads and im blonde

and when shes a teen she'll probably dye her hair all kinds of colors

what they gona get out of teasing her

but if she does get teased tell her not to react then they will stop

hopefully kids will be a bit more intelligent in a few years

  3. oh that is really sad. i think shell be okay when she gets older tell her to ignore them

  4. Everybody has something to be teased about. Redhead boys get teased more than redhead girls, and besides, her hair is probably going to get darker anyway as she gets older.

  5. I have three red-heads.  Two girls 15 - 10 and a boy 6.  The girls have never told me they get teased about the color of their hair. My oldest wishes that her hair was as red as her sisters (she is more strawberry blond than red).  My son actually has a lot of red heads in his class, so I don't think it will be a problem for him either.  And the way I see it, I married their red-headded father!!

  6. im a natural redhead and i was never teased, dont worry she will be fine. honestly, its usually red headed boys that get teases, not the girls, i dont know why!

  7. Redheads are more likely to be teased about hair color (though less so for girls than for boys).  But everyone's equally likely to be teased about something.  If she had blonde hair, it would be about her glasses, or the shape of her nose, or her last name, or her lunch box, or whatever.  I wouldn't worry.

Besides, redheads have a talent for standing up for themselves.  ;-)

  8. well kids get teased no matter what, tell your child to ignore it and focus on school.. if it becomes an issues like she cant focus in school.. talk with the princple to see what can be done.

  9. I don't think so. I dyed my hair red, partly because my natural color looked sort of odd on me, and I get all kinds of compliments on my hair color, even by people who think it's natural.

  10. I had red hair as a youngster and the worst I got was "your hair's on fire" said kiddingly, not meanly.

My son and daughter both have red hair and as yet have not been bothered by any peers.

If you're still worried about it, teach some empowering words for her to say to anyone who would dare insult her beautiful fiery mane.

  11. Just because that was his experience, doesn't mean it will be hers. As long as you make sure she has self-confidence and knows that hair colour means nothing about who you are, she'll be fine.

  12. Kids get teased if they are redheads.

Kids get teased if they wear glasses.

Kids get teased if they are short.

Kids get teased if they are tall.

Kids get teased if they are smart.

Kids get teased if they are not smart.

Kids get teased if they are skinny.

Kids get teased if they are fat.

Get the idea?  Kids are always going to find something to tease about, so just teach your kid to ignore it and not get upset over it.

  13. Hmmm my 11 year old has an IQ of 165 ("average adults" IQ is between 130 and 145), and she has bright red hair.  No one bother's to "tease" her...LOL

  14. Everybody hates gingers.

  15. I think they do sometimes. But if she does then stick by her and help her get through it. but remember not all of them get bullied. Worry about it when it happens and if it does then make sure she knows she has your and you husbands support. Hope this helps.
