I got a notice in the city of Burleson, TX that I ran a red light. The camera video shows me in the far right lane making a turn. When coming to the turn, I slowed down enough to make sure no one was coming into the lane I would be turning into but I will admit I did not technically "stop" at the red light, I'm probably going to end up paying it anyway, but this really burns me up. Is this something worth fighting?

  1. No its not worth fighting because you broke the law. You must stop completely at a red light even if you are making a right turn.

  2. Why get burned up!? You rolled a red light and got caught. Pay your fine and don't do it again. Case closed, lesson learned.

  3. If you are going to violate the driving laws, then get burned up when you get caught, maybe you can do your mental health a favor, and quit driving period.

It will add years to your life.

Alternatively take a course in anger management.

  4. no becuase if the there law is you must come to a complete stop. if you did not then you ran a red light why making a left. i reccomed paying it.

  5. Don't say you didn't stop,  but that the camera caught you after you had stopped while you were making a right on red.   Fight this one,  but not too hard since you admit guilt.

In Texas courts,  you have the right to confront and question your accuser.   Be sure to advise the court you wish the camera and all persons who reviewed the film to be present in court.

  6. Wait a sec...they shoot video?  I thought it was just photographs.

If they got you on film breaking the law, what is your defense going to be?
