my wife has just recieved a notice of intended prosicution for allegedley jumping a red light in edinburgh. the problem is her car was parked up 124miles away in north shields whilst she was at work caring for an elderly lady. the registration details were correct. could it be mistaken identity or a duplicate number plate in another country, will she need to go to court with the nessesary paper work form her employer i.e. time sheets which is signed by the person she was caring for, rota, letter of confirmation of location by her employer or will a simple letter containing all the relevent info be sufficient. unfortunately it is only 5 months since she passed her test and any points will be doubled
