Red light vs white light, which is better?

If i were to shine a focused red light beam onto a solar panel, could this make more electricity than a white light beam?

No, the average energy per photon would actually be less.  Which means if you have the same energy of red light and white light, the red light will have more photons with less energy, which means it will create more current, which means you will lose more energy overcoming the work function of the metal, which probably makes you less efficient.
