Red line in inner lip?

there is a very red line in my bottom inner lip.. it kinda hurts and it feels like its chapped but its not.. i cant really drink anything without it hurting.. does any one konw what it might be?

is it hot to the touch? it almost sounds as if it might be an infection. did you cut yourself, or bite yourself? if it is hot to the touch, you better go see a doctor right away. you dont want an infection that close to your brain. get it taken care of quick. if it isnt hot to the touch, i have no idea what it would be then.
