Does anyone except our present PM, the anti English Scot know what the red lines he keeps refering to are. As far as I can see the red lines are non existant and that the government are happy to throw away our sovereignty ans freedom to Brussels.

  1. The res lines are just another lie!!!!.

  2. if this goes through we are all ******* big style. better move out i think.

  3. Anti-English.

He is fixated on presenting himself as British and has moderated his accent to try to appease you Nigels.

Keep making it up son, you're good for a laugh!

  4. Strange that - you see him as an anti-English Scot, but we Scots see him as anti-Scottish. Maybe he's just anti everybody.

Interesting to find out if the Welsh think he's anti-Welsh.

  5. "The government says a referendum on the treaty is not needed as it has secured control over human and social rights, foreign policy, tax and benefits." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7...

    Those are the red lines.

As for a referendum, why limit it to the treaty?  I think that we should have a referendum on staying in, or leaving the EU rather than limiting us to one just on the treaty.  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6...

  6. There are no "red lines".That spin machine just keeps right on spinning!! We are told the EU has no control over our taxes. Utter rubbish! The Labour Party constantly claims to oppose tax harmonisation, and to have inserted "red lines" into EU treaties. They failed to put "red lines" in Tax Treaties, failed to stop EU projects on tax harmonisation and failed to change the policy of the Party of European Socialists that advocates harmonisation. Labour has been deceptive on two fronts, claiming victories in defending the UK veto on tax in battles that never existed, whilst introducing stealth tax

harmonisation. Thats why we have all these extra taxes.

Gordon Brown will continue to throw our Sovereignty away, with the EU being the winners! On page 3 of the Constitution, in Article I-5a, it says, "This constitution shall have primacy over the laws of member states". The doctrine of the supremacy of EU law is an invention of the European Court of Justice (ECJ). Until now, it has never been recognised in a treaty. But now EU governments have effectively sided with the ECJ against their own judges. In legal terms it makes the EU a state, and this state henceforth derives its authority from its founding charter, the EU Constitution. This point is reinforced by the next clause, Article I- 6, which enables the EU to act as a state under international law. And in Article I-11: "The member states shall exercise their competence to the extent that the Union has not exercised, or has decided to cease exercising, its competence". Did you get that? Member states are allowed to run their own affairs, to retain Sovereignty, only where the EU does not.!! Jurisdiction from Brussels is specified in transport, energy, trade, competition, agriculture, fisheries, space exploration, social policy, public health, employment policy, consumer protection, asylum, immigration, criminal justice and foreign affairs. No wonder our politicians waffle on about schools so much. It’s pretty much all that’s left! Traitors, the lot of them!!

  7. As a Welsh man living in England for many years I see him as a waste of space. He and Blair have moved the red line on a daily basis to suit themselves. The New Labour have not held the UK together so giving it away to the EU would be no problem for them.

  8. Agree competely with Karen, there are no red lines. This treacherous government will not be happy untill we are all one big superstate.
