Red lipstick... What does it really say about a female?

Question

I happen to love dark red lipstick and have always worn this color because I think it's compliments my fair skin. Red is outspoken and "want to be noticed" sort of thing.

I love most red coloured lipsticks, they do flatter really nicely and look sophisticated ( if you use them right ). If you tend to wear a lot of eyeshadow aswell it does look a little sluttish.

But overall its lovely. Quite a bold colour so would take a confident person to pull it off :)

SOOO... to me says perhaps sophisticated, confident, wants to stand out!

well It depends on "who" wears it ...

If its complimented with a good skin tone and make up, its Hot !

If its used in an improper way which doesnt match the skin tone, it looks like its on a rotten gal!

I think it really depends on the person. For me, bright or flamboyant red lipstick doesn't suit me at all. I prefer a more purplish shade. But recently I discovered that dark red looks rather nice as well. So I wouldn't stereotype colors, since one girl might look pretty in it, and another girl might look like a sl*ut. It all depends on complexions. What I don't like is a girl wearing any shade of makeup, that obviously is bad on her,  just to be an attention grabber. For instance, red can look good on one person, and can make another person look like a weirdo, but they'll wear it anyways because they think that it will get them attention. THAT, I don't like. Anything else, I don't mind. Your face, your beauty, you color. Red for me can mean different things according to what shade of red. Well applied, it can mean confident but bold, refined but s**y. On others it could mean something like glamorous but stylish and sophisticated. Or it could mean casual but sensual and hot. Or it could mean cheap and tawdry. Depends, you know? Good luck to you.

I think it is very s**y.

But then, I associate with older women and get an instant 12-incher if I see a 35-40 year old, dressed smartly wearing red lipstick.

It is a signal of beauty, I think it looks good on myself as well, I don't wear it as often as I should, but I think it makes a woman look very feminine, although some women go a bit over board and look like dorks, I think if you wear it the right way it will look good!
