Red lobster is the suck. anyone agree?

went there last night hungry and wanting to have lobster. the service was horrible the girl kept dropping our plates on to the table b/c they were apparently so hot, but she put them all down well within the reach of my 13 month old daughter. i was served the completly wrong meal, she talked us in to ordering things they were completly out of (which she later told us she didn't look at the board that tells them these things) and when i did get my meal the lobster was cold and super rubbery. not once did she offer anymore drinks, i wasn't impressed at all. anyone had a similar experience, is that the way they do things there?

It all depends on the management.  You were right to complain in a e-mail to corporate.  It's so expensive to eat out these days that one should expect good food and service.

Used to be a pretty good place to eat but it has really gone downhill the last few years.

The Red Lobster by me really went downhill right about the time they decided to do away with reservations.  Now Joe redneck saunters in with his baseball cap on.  Or you end up surrounded by screaming kids, and you can't blame the waitstaff for not trying hard.  The place has really changed, it was once the place where you went for a NICE meal.  Not anymore, you're better off going to Long John Silvers.  At least they will have what you order.

Our Red Lobster isnt like that.  Maybe its just your location that has bad service.

I would follow up with the manager and see whats up with that.  If the manager is trying to give you the run around try going higher (the main office).

I once made a similar complain to a fast food restaurant and because of me they fired the store manager and brought in a new one.

Yes thats why all of them except for one in my city have shut down.

It was the waitress...don't judge the whole restaurant off one bad server. It's my favorite restaurant. The rolls and Cajun chicken are amazing!

Somehow I think of a Red Lobster Restaurant as a Seafood Fast Food Restaurant and personnaly I do not expect too much of it....

If I were you I would have said something to the manager at the restaurant and no tip for the waitress....

I agree with you.  I went to their "lobster fest" and the food was absolutely horrible and the service was terrible.  The lobster had the taste of the freezer in it.  The Alfredo sauce was tasteless.  The only advantage to going there, was that I didn't have to wash the dishes.  I think the next time I want to go out to eat, I will remember this experience and use the money to pay my car off early or donate to a charity.

Not all red lobsters are like that, it all depends on the manager of the certain restaurant, some are better than others.
