Red on Fridays ???..

I am not sure if Americans have "red fridays" support the troops day,but here in Canada we have red fridays. People wear red on Fridays to show the support to our troops, but I find this country doesn't treat our troops and acknowledge them as they do in America.

I'm with a American soldier, and when we go out to dinner, for drinks there are always people paying our dinner bill... Its crazy!

Here in Canada that I have not seen, someone walk up to a Canadain soldier and say "hey thank you for all your service".

why is that?

  1. i know some americans do it...and ive seen it advertised for certian fridays....but the thing i want to comment on is why americans thank our soilders....i dont know about canada but i know about my country...and i know on 9/11 our freedom was put in jeopardy and it reminded alot of american why they fight and the basic freedom that we use to take for granted we know we wouldnt have with out them....

  2. I was unaware canada had soldiers

  3. I've heard of people doing the "red Friday" thing here.  personally I don't.  My husband is an Airman.  I honor him and all military members everyday.  I don't just honor and support the military on Fridays but every day, of every year!    I think "Red Fridays" is a passing fad.

Canaians forces haven't been front page news like the US soldiers but I think thier sacrifices are the same and they should definitely be thanked the same.
