Red skin around my tattoo?

i got it last week and it still has red around it =/

when does it fade??

Don't worry, it's normal (for me, it took around a week and a half, and was still a little sore).  It also depends on where it is, if your skin is a little sensitive in that area, that might also be why.  

Rub some aloe on it every night.  This is what I did to soothe the redness, and I think it did work.  I got the kind of aloe that was used for the after-care of waxing.

Give it another week or so. Your skin is still really pissed off at you right now and is gonna be tender. You probably still have a peel to go, if you don't still have scabs left on it. Just keep it mosturized and maybe dab a LITTLE bit of A&D ointment Around the tattoo. try not to get too much on it because it can smother your new ink, but around where it's red will help get the irratation down. I wouldn't worry to much about it as long as you went to a reputable artist. If you still have concerns go talk to the artist who did it and see what they think.

it shouldnt be red....pink ok, but not red after a week, you should goto the artist and make sure it's not infected just to be safe...if it doesn't hurt and isn't swollen (and hot-because infections get hot-so check that first) then just keep it clean and moisturized and it will eventually go away.
