Red sox fans: How come all of a 'sudden' bay is as good as Ramirez?

im really disappointed NOT 2 see more 'supposed true' red sox fans answering this question.

Jason Bay is a very good hitter and his stats are just as good as Manny...Now Manny is a better hitter than Bay but Bay is a much better fielder than Manny...Manny may add 5-10 runs with his hitting but Bay will save about 3-6 runs with his fielding plus he doesn't bring the same attention Manny does.

Because now he is a Red Sox and Manny isn't. The instant a player puts on a Red Sox uniform, he is immediately the best at his position. And when he is no longer a Red Sox he sucks, or was a cancer, or nobody liked him in the clubhouse. Shea Hillenbrand, Carl Everett, etc. all were great as long they were Red Sox, but sucked as soon as they left Boston. At least that's what everybody in MA tells me.

Im a die hard red sox fan and jason bay is and not expected to replace Manny. Nobody can he is the 2nd best hitter in MLB behind Arod. But we had to get rid of him. He was being a little baby that wouldnt have given 100 percent for the remainder of the season. so not only do we get an enthusiastic good left fielder we also save 13 million by only having to pay 7 million of mannys contract. Which means we have an extra 13 Mil to spend next year. That sounds good to me w/ CC Sabathia and Ben Sheets going to be on the free agent list.

No one said he was better........ He's just about as good at the bat, but in the field and on the bases he's twice as good. He will work 10 times harder and our team chemistry will be better with him than with Manny. Manny was bringing the whole team down.
