Red tail boa breeding question?

i am not sure of their ages but i know they are young......the female is 2 and a half feet and the male is a foot and a half.....i would like to know what size or age they should be to breed and how to go about breeding them

  1. 6 foot is the breeding size for the female.

    The male I don't really know but I would guess somewhere around the same.


  2. males are typically ready to breed at 3 feet or as early as 18months. Females 6+ feet or up to 3 yrs old. To breed them, some people have been lucky in just throwing a male and female together but to be successful, there is a process. this is one web page that can help but to find out about the conditions to breed red tails, you will really need to do online and library research to be ready for the undertaking.

    from the size of your boas, it sounds that they are very young and you still have some time until your female is ready so just do as much research as possible.
