Red tail boa is in the cold side of the tank why..?

she was on the cold sidde ... and its cold.. so i picked her up and put her underneath the basking light.. and now shes not even moving.. is she ok...

do you have hides on both sides of the tank...if you only have a hide on the cool side she may be there because there is no place she feels secure on the hot side.

yes ...she just likes the cold side better..my cornsnake does the same thing ,,,he really never goes to the warm side

Yes its ok just make sure the cool side temp is what it should be. Shes just thermo-regulating which is good and she doesnt want to be on the hot side for now. You should monitor her and see if she spends way to much time on the cold side and if she does then just simply put her on the warm side if she goes on the cold side way to much.
