  1. Either is just fine; though there are pros and cons to both. :)

On one hand; keeping your snake's terrarium in your bedroom is great because of how easily you can check up on it, it is fun watching your snake in its terrarium while you are in your room, and with the snake actually being in your bedroom (or any other room that you commonly frequent) it will give you a visual reminder to do typical snake-related chores, like misting, substrate changing, filling the water dish, etc.

However on the other hand; the defecates of an adult Red tail boa are some of the foulest smelling of any animal that I have ever had. The stench can literally wake you from the dead of sleep, and you will have to clean it up immediately no matter what you were doing before if you want your bedroom to be habitable by any human with a shred of a sense of smell. Also if you have a small bedroom, a five to eight foot long terrarium is going to take up a LOT of space.

In conclusion; the choice is yours. There are downsides and upsides to both options, and at the end of the day; it boils down to your own personal preference. My only suggestion would be that if you don’t end up putting the terrarium in your bedroom; try to put it in another regularly frequented area of the house so that it will be easy to check up on your snake while you are doing your daily routines. :)

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions at all on the subject; please feel free to message me and I will be more than happy to assist you.

Good luck with your Red tail!

  2. well the thing is your snake isnt gonna like being in the livingroom becuase if you have people over imagine all the noise there making so i suggest ur bedroom

  3. I would suggest living room as I would be thinking your living room is bigger than your bedroom.  These snakes grow to about 7 or 8 foot and you would eventually need a rather large tank.  Alos, these snakes are absolutely amazing looking and I myself would rather have it on display in the lounge for people to see
