Red tail cat or red tail x tiger shovelnose hybrid?

I have a 5000 gallon pond and I want to add one of them. Which should I choose. Is it true that the red tail x tiger shovelnose hybrid is almost like a dog?

I would go with a pure red tail or tiger.
