  1. Boas do not grow real fast like many pythons. At a year of age, they'll be 3 to 4 feet. At two years, 4 to 6 feet. At three, 5 to 7 feet. Figure 1 to 2 feet of growth per year depending upon feeding. Tank size does not make a difference like Lovie is suggesting. Nor is there any way they can be full grown at two years of age as some answerers are saying. I have 8 adult boas, and many offspring, which I've bred.

  2. 2 years, thet really never stop growing though...dont over feed, 5 ft is the perfect size....

  3. before 10 years of age they will be about as big as they are going to get. depends on how much you feed it and and how often. (don't overfeed as this can be fatal). and they also live 20-30 years.

  4. Well that depends on the tank and what size is the food, and how much are feeding him.

If kept in a 50 gallon tank, fed once a week(4 hoppers) then it would take around 4-5 years.

If kept in a 150 gallon tank, feed once a week(2 rats) then it would take around 2-3 years.

It just depends on what you are doing.

Red tail boas can get up to 8-12 feet. Also it depends on age.

Hope this could help a little bit.

  5. We feed our boa one jumbo every week (due to the nature of our work with him, he has to be fed every week).

My point is that our boa is overfed, and in an enormous cage.  And he still hasn't reached his full length.

He's grown quite a bit since we got him, but he's only about 9.5 feet.  We got him when he was about 2 years old, and we've had him 4 years.

    It takes awhile.

Our burm on the other hand seems to grow overnight.
