2. The very best red velvet cake in New York is by Cake Man Raven - Fulton Street in Brooklyn. Raven's famous throughout the country for this cake - it's wonderful.

 3. Due to some very lovely friends, I have had the pleasure of having Red Velvet Cake from both Cakeman Raven in Downtown Brooklyn and Lord's Bakery on Flatbush near Brooklyn College(b41/ 2 and 5 trains) Lord's Bakery is by far the best!!!!!! I didn't like Red Velvet Cake when I had it for my 21st Bday. It was my first time having it and I had about one slice while everyone else ate the cake during the weekend. On my 24th, they ordered a huge sheet (served 50) of red velvet from Lord's (due to my suggestion since Lord's had great single slices). That cake never made more than two slices home after my party. Everyone from the owner, the DJ, friends and to the bouncer got a slice and everyone loved it. I even wrote a review for Lord's. My brother tried to scrape up what was left out of the two or three slices remaining. I also hear Magnolia's was good, but I will have to check it out. I have been getting regular cake from Lord's every since I was born. That is where most Caribbean people in Brooklyn go , but after my red velvet- that is my official birthday cake. I would even treat myself to a slice of theirs every week or other. (addicted). I finally stopped and cut it down to a slice every couple of months. It's addictive! (And you know I am due for a slice tomorrow just talking about it!)
