  1. I'd go with dark furniture (walnut or painted black) and a tan carpet.  Not too light but something that has a good solid color value to it.  If that sounds too plain, you could always use an area rug with the red, white, black and so forth in conjunction with the carpet.  Something like defining the seating area or the dining area.  The light furniture will have a tendency to get lost against the red walls.  You need a stronger color to make it stand out and not be overwhelmed!

  2. OK well if you have red, try black furniture instead of beige, but if you really like the beige, then try a  light rose colored carpet, the rosy color will match the beige furniture, the red walls and the white trim! You can see the rose color (first row, second one)http://www.colormatchdyes.com/images/col...

  3. Depending on what kind of ambience you want to create, the matching color will differ.

    Monochromatic

For a calm, quiet interior room design, select a neutral color and apply different shades or values of that color to the various elements of the room. This is a popular approach as it allows you to vary the look of the room by changing the accents and accessories. Add interest to the interior room with the use of a variety of textures on the floor, walls and furniture.

    Related colors

For a relaxing effect, select a design scheme composed of related colors: greens and blues or rose and peach are two examples of this approach. Keep the values (strength) similar for a pleasing look. Use a color wheel to help you select colors that are similar (adjacent).

    Strong contrast

A stimulating, lively interior design environment is created by using colors that are strongly in contrast with one another. You can select similar colors (as above) in their dark, vivid hues, or select complementary colors-those opposite one another on the color wheel. Either way, the effect you achieve is attention-getting.

  4. I'm assuming that you're talking about the living room & you're wondering what color of seating to buy. If that's the case, then I think you have many options available to you.

Of course beige would look great, and if you get that set then I'd recommend a gold or brown carpeting. You could also take a cushion from the sofa to the carpet store & get something to match.

Or you could get brown or black seating with beige carpeting. Olive green would also look good:

    as would a navy blue.
