What is your favorite red wine for UNDER $15.00?

If you're a stone's throw away from wine country, try a late harvest zin from Vino Con Brio...

Keep in mind that the late harvest = sweet.  Definitely not your average zin.  Of the zinfandels, I really really really like s***w Kappa Napa...

Probably my current  favorite red is Casillero del Diablo Merlot.   Or Mia's Cabernet Sauvignon.

Bogle Vineyards Petit Syrah. $9.99. It's tasty, goes with lots of different foods, and it's under ten bucks.

I love Italian red wine. Most are over the $15 limit you asked about, except for 2 really nice dry reds.

1. Carpineto "Dogajolo"..this is a Super Tuscan, very smooth

2. Mt. Antico dry red wine, a very nice red table wine

both sell for approx, $10

Riunite's Lambrusco-So good! And its like $11 for a jug of the stuff. It may not be sophisticated but its delicious. It is very sweet and fruity and great for the beginning wine drinker. You must try it!

Lambrusco - semi sweet wine and it is around $15.00 for the large bottle.

Winking Owl Merlot. It's under $10, and is very nice. So far, I like everything I've tried from Winking Owl.
