Redact poses a major threat in the Bet At Bluesquare.com European Free Handicap
The Richard Hannon trained Redact looks like the biggest threat in the Class 1 Bet At bluesquare.com European Free Handicap (Listed Race) at Newmarket on 18th April, 2012. He will aim to take the track
by storm, and win the 7 furlong race on a surface that has been labelled good.
Redact will compete against Bannock, West Leake Diman, B Fifty Two, Zumbi, Hazaz, and Telwaar for the purse of £18,714.
The son of Strategic Prince, out of Rainbow Java, started his career with an incredible victory, as he defeated, Rooknrasbryripple, by 3 lengths in the Lingfield Park Countryside Evening 4th June Median Auction Maiden Stakes at
Lingfield on 2nd June, 2011.
He brought his winning momentum into his next start when he defeated, Son Du Silence, by a wide margin of 5 lengths in the Bathwick Tyres Supports Heros Re-Homing Racehorses Novice Auction Stakes at Salisbury on 9th July,
2011.
Breaking out of post 2 under jockey, Pat Dobbs, this will be his first race of the season, and he will be aiming to seal it with a magnificent victory.
Zumbi, the three-year-old colt is in brilliant form. Trained by Sir Michael Stoute for owner, Lady Rothschild, the colt started his career with a victory in the Anders Foundation E B F Crocker Bulteel Maiden Stakes (Colts & Geldings) at Ascot on 24th July,
2011.
He landed a narrow victory over, Glen Moss, by a marginal difference of a neck coupled with jocket Ryan Moore.
Ryan Moore will once again retain the ride on the son of Dubawi, out of Star Studded, and the pair will break out of post 4 today.
Bannock, the bay colt trained by Mark Johnston may make a great comeback today under rider, Silvestre De Sousa. He bagged a victory under Silvestre De Sousa in the Coral.co.uk Rockingham Stakes (Listed Race) at York on 8th
October, 2011.
He entered as a favourite with the odds of 5 to 2, and defeated the Mick Channon trained, Miss Lahar, by 2 lengths.
Redact looks like he can take the race, but it will not be an easy victory for him. Bannock and Zumbi will not admit defeat easily.
The speculation is that Zumbi will finish as a runner-up leaving Bannock to finish in third place.
