Question:

Reddy Heater 70 (Kerosene) won't start

I just purchased a 70000BTU Kerosone heater. I plug it in a 110v inverter that's connected to my car's 12v outlet. When flipping the switch ON on the heater, the fan turns sporadically, starting and stopping all the time - no flame either.I'm trying to start the heater in very cold weather and was wondering if temperature was a factor for Reddy Heaters, or if the inverter (a 300watts model) did not produce enough power (I'm thinking the Reddy Heater fan doesn't draw that much power ).Any comments welcome.Norman
