Question:

Reddy Heater works halfway

I believe that I may have solved the problem with my heater, it was made back in 200 or 2001. The Reddy Heater has a spark plug and the model number sticker, well it did not fair too well in the milk parlor. Well here is what I found, the spark plug black box mounting tabs was sparking when I pluged it in the wall socket. It had come off two mounting screws under the motor mount bracket. I put it back on the mounting screws and it is working so far. Now not knowing anything about a space heater I mistakenly unscrewed (all the way) the pump pressure "plug" thinking it was a fuse. Now that heater doesn't get very hot. Looking on the side of the heater and the pump pressure needs to be at 4.5 psi. Can you use a tire gauge or some type of gauge that measures psi or do I need to get one of those gauges from the net from the reddy heater parts site ? Is there anything else that I should be looking for ? Again I am not sure that putting the spark plug box back on the mounting screws was a true fix. Thanks.
