im 15 yrs old. my room is currently plain white. i would like to change my room completly. i have laminate floors. all my furniture will be white (bookcase, drawers, desk, loveseat, closet.) im going to get a loft bed which is metal gray from ikea. im not sure wat color my walls should be. i have a few ideas but after i think about it for a while i change my mind. my ideas were: 1) hotpink walls & comforter ,white furniture & orange sheets 2) hotpink walls, white furniture, aquablue sheets, black & white comforter 3) hotpink walls & comforter& light green sheets 4) #2 but white sheets instead of aquablue. now imthinking of purple walls. i want something that ill like for the next 5 yrs of my life. nothing too childish. my favorite color is pink but i think i might outgrow it.. any redecorating ideas? colors? links?(please only links to places with actual stores where i can visit) thank you!!

  1. pink is a great color for a bedroom. the trick is to not get too cutesy with it... since you have all white furniture with the gray metal bed, i would go with either a "shabby chic" look or a very modern look.  for the "shabby chic" think antique...mixed faded prints in various shades of pink, old looking frames with either gold or silver accents.  for the modern look, go for sleek black, gray, various shades of pink, but more graphic prints. everything should be very bold and minimal. for either look, i would do very pale pink on the walls...its restful and pretty.

  2. I think the colors you love are dramatic and you can use them well anywhere. You have 5 years and I think you may want to use these colors throughout where they really make a statement but are an affordable fix in the next 5 years. The colors you currently like would all blend well with he light green. Try one, maybe two light green walls and a possible beige with orange tinge accent wall...one complimentary light beige. Use your strong colors as comforter, curtain, pillows (one strong color on a pillow can really pop) These items can be easily replaced, added to or recovered while your wall cover remains a timeless background.

  3. They make pink vinyl wall stickers in hot pink & coordinating colors.. like brown, lime green or purple. I think you should paint your walls light pink and throw on some stickers. They'd be easy to take off later & the light color would be easy to paint over. You could do a hot pink comforter & the other color in accessories. You could have fun mixing and matching.

  4. green walls
